An ode to the Memoirs of KBS SCM classes!

Supply Chain Management...Venkatraman...Inventory...Transportations...you don't get the link ???  Don't you ?? Its kool...(neither do I)..we are sailing on the same boat. He sits on the table  crossed legs blabbering about graphs and numbers that never had anything to do with my life. Huge fluctuations and huge variety of products he talks about quite dissimilar to the thoughts and motions in my brains. phew!!  Did someone ever tell him how 90% kids here hate numbers (the rest 10% do not fall in normalities of daily lives we humans lead trying to make it simpler!) ;)
Didnt ever he have a professor who tried to shove knowledge up his ass and i guess (??!!) he just stuck it up on his pants never to let them down ( :P )
Ah i got distracted!! hes not that bad. At times being able to grab "my" attention...MY ATTENTION!!!
Navin's busy biting his nails...Munmun's busy dangling her thin legs...Amita's yawning hard...Sumit as usual the MOST responsive one!! Man look @ him.. hes a wearing a tie!! Now some would mind my audacity proclaiming " he's following rules...its good Kanchi"...but hold it brother!! I learnt something when i came here

                 YOU ARE A RIDICULE
                 IF YOU FOLLOW ANY RULE!!

In short it was a clear cut message to all folks out there (ruck the fules)!! So here's to you!!
Guess what ?? He's stopped complaining... I mean Venky...I guess he too has got accustomed to our lousy-good-for-nothing culture. The ease with which we walk into the classrooms with our "Chappals" and the manner we seem to seem to flaunt our presence and 'bless' the professors is simply awesome and astounding!(with the help of a few altruistic friends attendance is never a problem)
Now honey there's nothing to feel bad...we are just following and setting up new trends for our generations to follow. They in turn will break a few and make many new ones (interesting I hope)

Ps:So heres to the all the risk taking profs and students out there....  RUCK THE FULES!!

Park Street!!

As a kid i always dreamt of flying a plane...or sailing a ship (like dad)...or beating little children as their terrifying teacher...(my mom tells me i always told her i would become a police officer someday)...of all them i turned out to be a sales executive for cafe coffee day (the biggest coffee cafe chain in India). Now wondering as to how i landed here isn't a very long story...i got placed..,through campus recruitments...and where ?? Yeah right! Back to square one...all those extra terrestrial dreams of staying away from this city were tailored down by my yearning to come back to my authentic home town. Each time i wish to run away from its grasp...it pulls me back like the strongest magnet ever. No matter how far i am...no matter how unconscious i become...the city remains alive in my subconscious, inside me.
I enjoy my work...i like the roads that i take every day for my field trips. i love the essence of the day i knew i would be back (dint know it would be so soon)...i love the way the city hustles with life and helps me survive!I have been brought up at the outskirts...yet the heart of the city appeals to me more than my house...Park Street...theres something about it...i can never get enough.
While at Xavier's the 20 mins walk that i took down that street made me fall in love with the everlasting charm it leaves. Known as one of the oldest places in the city it stands apart with the presence of Moulin Rouge ... Trincas...The Park...the apeejay...the family book shop...the giggles...flurry's...T3 Table...and above all St Xavier's College (and a lot more than just these)...they made me come back each time i decided i wanted to go a place that could provide me solace...my comfort zone lay at that zone...i dont know what i could call this...its defninitely more then what i call "attachment".
Today three years down the line...the same roads lead me to a different world all together. I learn business...tactics...lies...and yet i remain the same Kanchi that walked down Park Street to attend the first lecture at 9 : 50 am. Today i walk these roads to a different destination...i take that road on purpose even though i need to walk that extra mile...i still do it ...not to loose weight...but to get the aroma of the street...just like the fresh cup of coffee i promise to everybody.

"what is your aspiration"??

someone asked me the other day " what are your aspirations"...hmm tough one...the bells in my mind rang...straight knocking on my heart...which wailed out "aspirations fly high sir...and i wanna fly high with them"...gosh this look like some kinda stupid dialogue being thrown to impress some mr.i-dont-know. Explanations is what i hate to give...and yet here i was explaining all that i could blabber about in the world.
Twas tough grasping what they actually wanted me to say...and then another question being shot on me "what are yur personal aspirations!!!oh kay...now i wasnt prepared for this one...its like being asked on a date..."are we actually on a date"
i gathered myself and the basket of my so called aspirations..umm as i started counting them i suddenly found out that i actually had a number of them...but then i had to trim them down to...
1)i want to become a playback singer
2) i want to learn guitar
3) i want to become a famous poet
4) i want to learn music
5)i want to pursue photography...
ohkaay!!! the expressions on their faces made it evident that they wanted me to stop...
wow i can get really carried away ...
an avalanche of such distorted aspirations that run free...with no limits and boundaries...we the human breed are scared to dream...cause from the very beginning we have been trained to live in limits...right from our pocket money to how we express our feelings...funny... i never believed in limits...
the real answer to our aspirations would be the truth ... the truth of our existence ...aspirations grow and change with time...you can never cage them...nor can u tame them...its not in your capacity...and the ones who learn the former art know how happy they are.... :)...dreams and desire are like little kids wanting to play hide and seek all the time... they wanna drift away to fairy lands when Cinderella and Snowwhite leave happy notes for at the end...they are like fluffy soft toys one wants to cuddle with a soft touch...a smile on a face...
dreams...desires....destiny...
yet the human mind is so limited...so constrained...so stingy...so practical
i pity all those who nurture no dream...and all the nore those who did breed them but dint have the will to set them free and make them true !!
to the one who asks me again "what are your aspirations"....my only answer would be "limitless"

Wishes

the way i go, do i know ?
or am in simply pushing myself ?
do i have time to grow?
or has it been too late ?
i dont know...i am lost
for my follies are now shown
i had to pay a life tine cost
just once i should have known
we see different stars in the sky
and i wish over one
seems like my star has lost, gone by
if only the battle had i won...
i call upon something i dont see
which i know is incredible
and when i realise what i could be
i wish i had time to belive it...

ps: wrote it on 12th dec 2005... a phase i wish never to repeat...we learn from our mistakes...i m glad i resurrected myself from them.

dreamzz

I know not where you go
Do i have the power to lean on you ?
would you decide for me, would you know?
that i hold my breath through you...
i close my eyes,
my tears seem to break
the numerous forms
i wish you to take...
my mind runs at a pace
i myself cannot face.
you seem distant...yet i know
you're only mine...
you would never leave,
even though life may seem to drift away
i wouldnt have to grieve
Even if wanted to run away
you come in different ways....
"sometimes in my reality...i tend to forget your existence"

For Ritika!

There will be times when you thought
"I wish I was not here"
And then you would laugh at it
In your eye a twinkle and a tear…
There will be times when you will fight
"Why are you doing this to me?"
But not all of it was wrong you would realize,
All questions have answers you see.
There would be times when you would be busy
And leave aside all your tears.
Times tear away the sad memories,
And help you fight your fears.
There would be times when you'd feel
"Will this go away with time?"
But then there were times when these
Had the biggest priorities on your mind.
Now is the time you say
"This can never happen…I can never forget"
But there will be a time someday
You'd say, "Oh yes! I remember,
It just got over my head!"
And when someday you'd tumble
Upon some old cards and old snaps
The chain of memories would push you behind
There would be days when you would cry
Until you went crazy,
Some messages, some chats
Some unbroken, unfulfilled dreams
Catch your thoughts forever…
And then there would be times my friend
When you would scream "No! Not now! Not ever!"
Friends, love and time move on like never before
You wish you could hold them in your fist.
And then when you would be over with tryst,
There would be times…
You would be soothing your wounds
Just to smile at the marks left behind.
Someday someone told me,
"Don't cry that it's over,
Smile that it happened…"
Yet my dear I will bring times
When broken pieces of your heart will be gathered,
And no dreams will be scattered.
Memories would never haunt you
Rather make you feel proud
For having found love and joy
In this battling crowd.
I would wish to see you smile someday
Thinking about what you have read today
And then I see a twinkle and a tear
Just to let to know
That I am right here…
